Jessa Duggar Doesn't Approve of Jessica Seewald's Potential Risqué Wedding Dress - Showbiz Cheat Sheet

Season 11 of Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta premieres tonight on TLC at 8 p.m. ET, and it’s going to feature none other than Jessica Seewald Lester, who is the sister of Jessa Duggar’s husband, Ben Seewald. In the episode, Duggar is present and shares her opinions of the dresses Seewald tries on. As fans might predict, Duggar isn’t a fan of anything too showy.

Jessica Seewald tries on a showy dress on ‘Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta’

In a preview obtained by Us Weekly, Seewald tries on a Romona Keveza dress with a plunging neckline. “My girls are out to play!” she exclaims.

She tells the camera that the low neckline surprised even her.

“The first thing I noticed was my chest — just everywhere,” she said. “I wanted to show my curves, but this is a little bit too flashy.”

Duggar, of course, was not a fan. She lets it be known that the Romona Keveza dress is an inappropriate choice for her sister-in-law.

“Absolutely, like, no,” said Duggar. “The neckline was definitely too low. That’s not really what you should look like on your wedding day.”

She does note, however, that she likes “the cut of the skirt and all that.”

Seewald thinks she can use the risqué dress to her advantage. She actually loves a dress she tried on prior to the Romona Keveza, and she thinks everyone will be more on board with her dress of choice after seeing this no-no.

“Maybe going out in this dress is a good strategy,” she says. “After they see this dress, they’re gonna be totally fine with the first dress.”

“I like the first dress better than this one,” she tells the women with her. “I cannot get that first dress out of my mind.”

But all’s well that ends well because Seewald looked happy and beautiful on her wedding day.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald

Duggar and Ben got married in July 2018. Together, they have three children: Spurgeon, 4, Henry, 3, and Ivy, 9 months.

In 2018, Duggar shared some marriage advice with Us Weekly:

“Never stop showing gratitude to your spouse for all the things they do to help out,” she told the publication. “It doesn’t matter how big or small. Sometimes couples come to expect things of each other and they stop noticing and appreciating things the other one does to help out with the kids or keep the household running smoothly.”
