Few things have united women this summer like a love of Zara’s polka dot dress.
Maybe you have bought it, maybe you know someone who has bought it, or maybe you are one of the 19.3k people who follow it on Instagram. (For the uninitiated, the £39.99 dress’ cult-like popularity has even earned it its own Instagram page, Hot 4 The Spot, which documents the dress’ whereabouts).
It’s not difficult to see the hype: the mid-length, printed smock dress is the perfect all-rounder, really. Day-time to night-time. Sneakers to heels.
Women have been spotted wearing it while riding bikes, waiting for buses and yes, even getting engaged.
And now, the frenzy is likely to get its second wind with the news the dress has been re-released in the inverse colour - black with white spots - which frankly, is just as wearable as the original.

The only slight obstacle being that it is currently only available in Australia, where it costs $90.
However, according to Grazia, there are rumours it will soon be landing on British soil.
On the other hand, given the popularity and its wearability, we wouldn’t be surprised if some women write-off the £500 flight.
