On February 6, Kaia Gerber stepped out to celebrate the launch of her new Jimmy Choo collaboration wearing a stunning metallic silver slip dress that looked almost like the armor worn by a medieval knight — if said knight was a supermodel, of course.
Kaia donned the midi dress with a deep V-neck for the launch party of Jimmy Choo and KAIA in New York City and it is the perfect encapsulation of Kaia's signature style: sophisticated but still youthful, classic but a little edgy at the same time.
The metallic fabric of the dress almost glowed as she moved, and we love the almost-hidden rosette detail at the neckline. Kaia let the dress be the centerpiece and kept the rest of her look simple, slicking back her choppy bob and skipping jewelry in favor of a bronze smoky eye and a pair of black slides from her collection. Honestly, clad in this ‘fit, we can almost see her leading an army of fashionable street style stars into battle!
Kaia’s collab with Jimmy Choo, which was announced in January, features four shoe styles, including combat boots, cowboy-inspired boots, slides, and a pair of slingback heels.
“There are so many factors when it comes to designing a shoe,” Kaia told Vogue about her collection, which was inspired in part by the simple looks of the '90s. “I think that’s why, subconsciously, our shoes are so special to us. Not only because of the amount that goes into making them, but also because they’re holding us up all day.” Fifteen percent of sales will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
While we may not have our own Jimmy Choo collection to celebrate, we're definitely going to follow Kaia's lead this weekend and slip into something shiny and silver!
