Holding her signature coffee cup in one hand and a black leather tote in the other, Clooney trotted down the sidewalk in pointed black pumps and big black shades. The black-and-white ensemble is a departure from the more autumnal color scheme she wore late last month, when she paired a rusty two-tone dress by Agnona with tortoiseshell and snake-print leather Jimmy Choo slingbacks.

Other than serving this season's best fits, Clooney has been busy speaking at the United Nations Security Council. She recently spoke at a panel discussion for the international body where she highlighted the challenges working journalists face around the globe.

"Our research targets laws being used every day to punish journalists for their work," Clooney said during her speech. "Laws like criminal libel, vague or overboard hate speech laws, so-called fake news laws, and laws that muzzle the media by imposing arbitrary conditions on ownership, accreditation and funding."
