A local designer's handmade, celebrity inspired prom dress has gone viral on Instagram.
Over a three month period, Britt Nicole,23, made the green, beaded and mesh dress for her cousin Zy'ah Beatty to wear to Central York High School's prom.
Much of it she had to sew by hand.
The dress is inspired by Zendaya's look at the MTV Movie Awards in 2017. Photos of the gown were submitted to Vogue Italia by local photographer Brady Pappas and were quickly accepted. The dress can now be seen on the fashion site.
The gown even caught the attention of Zendaya's actual stylist who wrote "so good" on the Instragram post.
Nicole has made gowns in the past, but none have received this much recognition, she says.
